I had never even looked into contests, I mean when I first started there was a member who had a contest where you guessed the result of a game and I used to place my guess in his comments but that was it. But last week I saw some guys who had won some contests, and since I have a lot of time on my hands I decided to look up some contests and participate in them.
I found some contests and participated in about 10 of them, well surprisingly, even though I didn't win first place in any of them I was able to get a piece of the action in four of them. Well I was even able to make more off of contest wins this week than I received from author and curation rewards, that is not saying much as I don't really make that much from writing but I more than doubled my Steem income this week which to me is great.
And take into account that I only participate in contests that are easy, like just upvote and resteem a post, or answer some question, or maybe solve a puzzle, some contests require making a video which I am not good at or posting a photograph, another one at which I am not good, also some are just too complicated so I don't get involved with those at all , I also want to have fun and not make my life more difficult.
So where can you find ongoing contests? Well you can look in many discord channels some have a section for posting contests so I guess this is a good place to start, also you can look them up in Steemit search, or there are a few people who post articles just related to current contests you can search for them with the contest tag.
Try them out you just might get lucky and hit a jackpot.
Maybe we can create our own contest for some serious crypto!
Yeah, you're really right. I love contests and I've participated in a lot of them, and I tell you I've made more money from them than I would make from posting in the next 6 months! Lol.
