RE: Steem Basic Income FAQ Contest - 500 SBI in Prizes

There are three categories to worry about when it comes to sponsorship:

  1. Blacklisted(s): These people cannot be granted any shares. Until they are taken of the black-list, they are there for life. In any a case (lest some last minute changes), you'll probably have the transaction kicked back to you and receive back in full your sponsorship transaction (and maybe a warning to not sponsor the account?).
  2. Bot(s): They fall under a weird category, but it's best to not sponsor them but (in a day-n-age where technology gets more human than humanity) you still could theoretically sponsor one. Just please make sure the bot(s) actually post content and just sponsor them. Don't sponsor bot(s) whose soul purpose is to upvote things or create spam content. Just please.
  3. Non-blacklisted(s): These people are the ones you theoretically sponsor and you will see them getting the due share they deserve (as will you to as well). Have fun sponsoring!
Sort:

Actually, the only coded exclusion is self. (You cannot sponsor yourself). There is a pointlessness to sponsoring some accounts (they never post or comment, so why? just why?) but they can still be sponsored. Blacklisted account can continue to grow their unit levels, they just don't get upvotes.

We are working on a system that will redistribute the accrued balances from these scenarios (blacklisted and inactive) to the rest of the member base.
