If you want to know how modern propaganda is used, look to its "father". In the book "propaganda" by Edward Bernarys, the nephew of sigmund Freud, Bernay's outlined how Propaganda is used to control populations. He explained that the easiest way to control large populations of people is to break them up into groups. He was referring to identity politics (white vs. black, straight vs. gay, man vs. women etc. Breaking society into segmented groups makes it easy to invoke predictable reactions. This is especially effective when leaders are put into place to control the group mind. Think Al Sharpton. Another effective way is pleas to authority. Think doctors advertising for cigarette companies. Once you understand how propaganda is used, the world starts to look very different. The best way to understand the present, is to read books from the past.
