Thanks @jvanman, I used to make Koeksisters when my kids were small, I love it too, crispy on the outside and full of syrup inside & must be eaten cold, well that's how I like it anyway! Hubby's a diabetic so I really have to be careful with too much temptation & of course koeksisters would be deadly for him! These Easter buns were ok as I scraped the glaze icing off so he just got a teeny weeny bit of sugar, he can inject little extra insulin if he indulges BUT obviously within bounds, so I have to eat store bought koeksisters & hide them :):)
