RE: Productive day regardless of all the BS

Where does Ecuador get its power from? It sounds like they need more solar and battery storage, but that has a cost. We take electricity for granted, but when it's not there you realise what is important. Keep food cool must be a major issue and anyone with an electric car could have issues. At least you have some solar. I guess some people will have generators, but those could get expensive to run.

We are getting into our first winter with solar and may struggle to charge the battery on some days. Our system cannot function if the mains goes out for safety reasons, but that is pretty rare.

Stay well.

Ecuador is all hydro power, but it hasn't been raining so... we are basically SOL and the government controls the whole grid, no private firm can sell to the government energy, which makes no sense to me.

Climate change is going to cause issues like this. They will have to adapt to serve the people.

it's raining in the desert, and we don't have water in the Amazon... yet we still have politicians who think we are exaggerating.
