That is what my kids will do. There is still time to pick up on these professions.

What if I want to sit in a climate controlled room all day ? Jokes aside I do expect a lot of people to get into trades yeah "if you want a job learn to code" might finally be dead
I am originally from India and went to school with many software PhDs, many of them are at Google and MSFT and are near retirement. Yes, they tell me that trade is mostly dead.
Nurses stay in air condition all day here in US. Paid decent and has ultimate job security.
