RE: Hive is now a multi client network, the forking incident I caused, and reducing my proposal to 150 HBD a day

A example what can be done with would make sense. I get the concept, but some product other chains have and is build on top of it. IMO hive misses daily utility features aka smart contract that would have pushed innovation on hive too ( or simple premade token contract). With more finance, the utility goes up and apps build around it.

And i think if you would work for free because you like it, I would recommend not to net sell 100% of DAO money you earn. That shows you trust the stuff you build. If you sell at 4 cent everything you get, it looks like you dont really see a future for hive.

What you can do with it is pretty much the same thing as what you can do with hived today, the goal isn't to introduce new functionalities, it's to introduce an alternative. Smart contracts is being worked on by the magi team and blocktrades (not right now but it's on the roadmap).

I hear you, I used to keep a lot of hbd in savings in this account but I don't like to keep everything under one account in case my keys gets stolen and I also don't like to have it under my name. It's pretty easy to google my name and stumble upon my hive account and I'd rather not have a giant dollar sign next to it.

I get it 100%, Thats a real problem hive has with the social layer + finance. A "hide" option would be really a thing and something long term to consider (some zk wallet inside). It should be kind of easy if its a 100% trusted onchain pool IMO and it could have features above ( imagine % DAO voting, so it could be Anon power). I think something worth to think about since that has downsides too if it becomes a more complex tool.

Same with HBD, I think privacy is very important, special in Ai age ( a google search is basic, with Ai it gets worse with leaked data). And if you combine that with posts and other meta data, it can become even worse.

To smart contracts, yeah i think most people on hive dont really know what is on the roadmap. I would recommend from the core team to make a simple info graphic from time to time to show what is planned. Like something to share and see in 30 sec time.

Magi itself is not really a smartchain and it has high potential to not deliver ( i hope for the best).
