Coronavirus Myth Busting Post 1.png

There are currently no drugs licensed for the treatment or prevention of COVID-19 There is so much misinformation out there about the Coronavirus that I decided to post a new myth-busting, demystifying blog series over the next 20 days.

This information comes directly from the World Health Organization (WHO) website.

Myth #1: Hydroxychloroquine is a cure for COVID-19

While there are several drug trials going on, there currently is no proof that hydroxychloroquine or any other drug for that matter can cure or prevent COVID-19 infection. The misuse of hydroxychloroquine can lead to serious side effects, illness, and even death. WHO is currently coordinating efforts to develop and evaluate medicines to treat COVID-19

Taking any medication without a doctor’s prescription or without being under the care of a physician can be disastrous. If you feel like you may have been exposed and are showing symptoms you should definitely seek the consult of your doctor. Self-diagnosing & misusing medications (whether prescribed or over the counter) could cause real damage to your body and in your life. This post is not to be mistaken as medical advice for that you should see a licensed physician.
