The number of deaths associated with Covid-19 in the country has risen to three. The victim, an 84-year-old man, was in isolation at home in Nampula, where he ended up losing his life. The information was made public a few moments ago by the Director General of the National Institute of Health at the usual press conference to update data on the new coronavirus in the country.
The source also indicated that the cumulative number of people infected with the new coronavirus in the country rose to 583, with the diagnosis, in the last 24 hours, of 30 new cases.
At the press conference that coincides with the first half of the third stage of the state of emergency, the Ministry of Health indicated that the new cases were diagnosed from a total of 559 tests analyzed in the last 24 hours.
The new patients are 29 Mozambicans and one Thai, all in isolation.
Of the new cases, 14 are from Nampula, 03 from Cabo Delgado, 03 Zambézia, 01 Inhambane, 01 Maputo Province and 08, Maputo City.
