Riding high on his recent success in Afghanistan, President Joe Biden issued an ultimatum to the 80 million Americans who refuse to get the shot - 'Our patience is wearing thin'.
Unfortunately, his is not an empty threat. Federal employees and contractors, healthcare workers and some 300,000 educators in the federal Head Start programs have been given 75 days to get the jabs, or else... Private businesses with more than 100 employees are to make sure their workers are either vaccinated or tested once a week. Or else face huge, like really huge fines.
So much for the land of the free...
If you don't look at the footage and only read the transcript of Biden's speech, you'd be forgiven if the voice in your head takes on Vladimir Putin's or Xi Jinping's accent!

We've already had vaccine mandates in a few European countries so Biden's move is not surprising. These mandates have already been tested and the population sort of accepted them. There are still significant protests in France, but there were none in Italy, for instance.
I am curious how this is going to play out in the US, but I'm not very optimistic. All over the world, leaders are betting on the approval of the sheeple, masked, disinfected and vaccinated into submission. They were led to believe that nothing bad will happen to them if they follow the rules. And it won't, at least not for now.
Sadly, no one learns from history or these words would ring in their minds: "First they came for the unvaccinated, and I did not speak out because I was not unvaccinated.."
