INTEL AND AMD TOGETHER TO CREATE THE CPU - KABY-LAKE G!

Intel and AMD have joined, against NVIDIA some will say, to prepare a processor with a Radeon graphics solution coupled to meet the demand for relatively cheap laptops to play!

There are many excellent gaming laptops on the market today, such as the ones we have on this list, but just take a quick look at how often prices are prohibitive.

The problem is that the cheaper notebooks, with integrated graphics in the vast majority of cases, are not capable of running the top games in the market, from AAA titles like eSports that are a big slice in the gaming world.

So the divisions of engineers at Intel and AMD have teamed up to create a processor that incorporates Intel's processing power and AMD Radeon graphics processing.

The processor is due to launch in early 2018 on H Core in an evolution of the current 8th generation of Intel processors.

We can then count on thin laptops, aimed at mobility and with relatively good autonomy.

AMD's role in the process was the creation of a custom chip for the Intel processor, in a way similar to what was done for the systems of the Xbox One X and Sony Playstation 4 consoles.

The project was based on a new silicon from Intel, called EMIB - Embedded Multi-die Interconnect Bridge, which allowed to include three Die's in a module, with the CPU, the GPU and the memory of this, 4 GB HBM2, next to one on the other, without crowding them.

On the Intel side, one of the challenges was processor optimization and the new integrated AMD Radeon. Through controllers, software, Intel engineers will try to optimize processes as best as possible to keep temperatures as low as possible, and work to have these controllers available at processor launch.

The interaction of the processor and graphics card in this EMIB module is somewhat different than usual, and for the first time used in a consumer system.

The business has gone well with Intel, and despite the difficulties, AMD has managed to stay afloat.

Possibly, 2017 was the best of the last few years for AMD with the renewal of its main line of processors with the much anticipated Ryzen, who have even behaved well, and on graphic cards with the launch of Vega. Unfortunately, sales of these have been affected by the low numbers produced.

Rumors are already circulating on the internet, as well as some benchmarking data from the production versions of these new processors.

The i7 8705G and i7 8809G appear referenced, quad-core processors with eight threads. Integrated Radeon graphics cards designated 694C: Co and 694E: Co have 24 computing units, 1,536 stream processors, speeds near 1,100 MHz with a maximum performance of 3.3 TFLOPs. Both with 4GB of HBM memory, but different speeds of 800MHz and 700MHz respectively.

At a time when computer sales numbers have grown, the gaming world is more alive than ever, but the gaming laptops are still very large and heavy. This news is definitely positive, hopefully of course answer the search for good notebooks to play, lightweight and do not require the sale of kidneys. xD
