The rivalry between Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo is always present on the playing fields and even if they do not face each other on the same pitch, speculations always come with their gestures or celebrations.
The last one was with the penalty that marked the start of Portugal-Spain played this past Friday in Sochi during the World Cup. Cristiano went to the corner to celebrate the goal and touched his chin repeatedly as if caressing a knob that he does not have.
In Argentina, the newspaper 'Olé' has speculated that the gesture is a direct reference to the nickname of Messi G.O.A.T, the acronym means (Greatest Of All Times), the greatest of all time. But Goat all together means goat in English, and even the magazine 'Paper' made him a cover with a goat.
And therefore it might seem that Cristiano does not caress an imaginary knob but makes a gesture that resembles that of the goat and would have dedicated his first World Cup goal.
Until the Portuguese is pronounced, everything is speculation.
