... but there is still some tourism here in the small port of the village called Liznjan.
You can still see some people ... and some colorful stuff made of plastic ...
... but the scene is much quieter than usual in this part of the year.
There is a nice old man that sales his delicious agricultural products from the nearby fields, at affordable prices.

Trading is taking place under a large parasol with CORONA EXTRA written on it ... :D which sounds deliciously ironic to me ... I always appreciate cool little details like this.
In the background, behind the docks and the boats, you can see a big crane ... from some hotel construction site a bay away from the port.
The seagull is watching over the work in progress.
Some interesting larva ... with an interesting shelter made of straws is resting on the old summer house not far from there.
As the quiet sunny afternoon is turning into the, even more quiet, meditative evening ...
... the fishing boats ...
... and their crews ...
... are getting ready for the action.
Summer nights are short, they must quickly locate the sardines and bring some fish back with them, to keep the business going.
In this very calm part of the year, from the meteorological prospective at least ...
... the fishing boats are going out of the bay almost every evening.
I saw these scenes so many times ...
... but I never get bored.
Is like an old movie that has some special connection with you ...
... so you can watch it over and over again.
From some angles this boat parade looks like a race :D
While some relatively big fishing boats are going out of the bay, headed to their hunting grounds in deeper waters ...

... some small, diurnal fishermen are returning to the port.
Some people are sitting and enjoying the horizon...
... while some small dog is passing by.
Then the curious little dog approaches them ... they talk about something with the dog, but I'm too far, so I can't hear the conversation.
The dog is soon back on his way ... headed to the docks ... and about an hour later ...
... the night arrived ... bringing the full moon with her, to attenuate the darkness.

Cool. Great that this new online opportunity exists. It takes some time to build from nothing some kind of career here - but with a lot of pretty hard and consistent blogging work, it's definitely possible.

No worries, Czech tourists are already on their way :D Just a week ago or so, one of the biggest transportation companies here launched a brand new train route to Rijeka and most of the trains got sold out immediately :D

Very beautiful places! But this year I have never been to a river or other body of water, although the heat is simply murderous, and it's time to go, at least to catch the crayfish)
Is great to see some water in the summer heat :) it's refreshing just to look at.
I have a lot of salty water ... but besides the one muddy pond ... there's not much freshwater around here.
