Why are we using bots isn't it supposed to be a social network do we really want to lose that human element, cheers
Because this allows multiple people to collaborate and support one another at the same time. There are many benefits to botting, automating tasks so that you have more time to go and do the things you enjoy is also a thing. Allowing team work out to any scale is another.
If I wanted to manually curate each and every one of the posts on steemit, how far do you think I will get?
Automation is not a want, it is flat out a requirement if you want things to scale on a global level.

This is a very interesting concept and definitely a proactive method to counter what seems like a growing amount of spam and useless content on Steemit.
