Welcome to the Creative Coin Fund Investor Report.
We had a great time networking and team building at the Fund this week. Be sure to read past the delegation report to catch up on the latest developments.
The Fund did not receive any delegations from new investors this week, for the first time since we began delegation payouts. Four delegators increased the size of their delegation. Our total delegations now stand at 345,961 CCC from 25 delegators.

Market Updates
The purpose of the Creative Coin Fund is to provide the artists of Hive with a substantial CCC upvote, and to make that vote meaningful by supporting the steadily rising price of Creative Coin.
We're supporting the price of CCC with two mechanisms: the daily market purchase and the base buy-in order.
The daily market purchase is a market order for CCC of 10 to 15 Hive daily. This continues unchanged from last week.
The base buy-in order is a limit order meant to establish the price support for the market. This has been paused until September 9.
On Thursday our buy-in order for 49,000 CCC at .00612968 Hive filled within a matter of hours. This expended the Hive we have for the buy-in order.
The main funding source for our market mechanisms at present is a biweekly fiat contribution from @cliffagreen. This Thursday, depending on the price of Hive, his contribution will be enough to maintain the daily market purchase, but not enough to provide for a substantial buy-in order.
We plan to restart the buy-in on the 9th. We will assess the market at that time to determine the price of the order, and of course the size will depend on available funds.
Without the Fund's buy-in order, the Creative Coin price dropped significantly. But remember, even a falling market is good news for Fund investors! When the average price drops from one month to the next, the APR for CCC delegations to the Fund will be increased by 2 percent for the following month. This is to incentivize the purchase, staking, and delegation of Creative Coin, and thereby support a reversal of the trend.
The average price for the month of August so far is .005542, a 4.94 percent decrease from July.
New Contests and New Revenue
We continue to invest and develop new sources of revenue with which we can fund our market mechanisms and support a rising Creative Coin price. Two new sources of revenue are coming online in the next few weeks, in the form of two exciting new contests.
Our photography curator, @elemarg25, has launched a traditional dance contest, in which contestants can showcase their cultural traditions and artistic talents with a 3Speak video. The Creative Coin Fund will provide 10,000 CCC in cash prizes to the biweekly contest, and @elemarg25 will set the Fund as a 20 percent beneficiary of contest posts.
The first contest conducted by the Creative Coin Fund itself is set to begin on August 29. It will also award 10,000 CCC in prizes. We aren't going to tell you what type of contest it is, but here's a hint: Kenyan poet @tezmel has signed on as a new team member to administer and judge the contest.
Not only will the Fund earn additional author rewards from the contest, but we will also be charging a 1,000 CCC entry fee. In addition to funding the award, the purpose of the entry fee is to create a new use case for Creative Coin and bolster demand in the market.
New Partnership
This week we were approached by @celf.magazine to discuss how we can collaborate to support the Creative Coin community.
We are absolutely thrilled at this opportunity. CELF Magazine has its own community dedicated to art and culture, with monthly contests and sleek curation posts highlighting some of the best art on Hive. They've been working as a project since 2018, beginning on Steem.
The first, obvious step of our partnership was for the Fund to delegate 50,000 CCC to CELF to support their curation work. We think that the announcement by CELF that they can now reward posts with a substantive Creative Coin vote will help entice some of the more talented Hiveans to return to the Creative Coin community.
Discussions of future collaborative projects for CELF and the Creative Coin Fund are ongoing.
