Recuerdo que estaba lloviendo y no podíamos salir de casa, así que nos pusimos a darle a la perilla del tv, buscando algo que ver, y un canal Televen emitía un dibujo animado muy particular. Un estilo que no conocía, a pesar de ser un empedernido de la Liga de Justicia, los Thundercats o clásicos como Tom y Jerry.
Desde ese día, a las cuatro de la tarde de lunes a viernes, luchábamos por lograr que se viera el canal: movíamos la antena, sacudíamos el tv, ajustábamos la perilla de cambiar los canales, aunque muchas veces no tenía la nitidez que anhelábamos, igual disfrutábamos de cada capítulo.
Fue así como llegué a Dragon Ball.
Hoy cuando el maestro Akira Toriyma ya no está físicamente, me detuve a reflexionar en las cosas que como amante del anime sigo disfrutando.
Porque sé que es fantasía, pero la forma de transmitir alegría, principios y bondad es de lo que más rescató, porque cada capítulo era un himno a la inocencia y la alegría de vivir.
Hoy sigo disfrutando de nuevos animes, obras que al mantener ideales como la amistad, respeto o sabiduría me ennoblecen y me ayudan a disfrutar de lo que hago, tanto así que lo comparto con mi hija, siendo un espacio familiar de disfrute y regocijo.
Se ha ido el maestro Toriyama y estas líneas son una forma de agradecerle su legado en mí.
A way to thank you
I remember that it was raining and we couldn't leave the house, so we started to turn the TV knob, looking for something to watch, and a channel Televen was broadcasting a very particular cartoon. A style I didn't know, despite being an inveterate fan of Justice League, Thundercats or classics like Tom and Jerry.
From that day on, at four o'clock in the afternoon from Monday to Friday, we struggled to get the channel to be seen: we moved the antenna, shook the TV, adjusted the knob to change channels, although many times it did not have the sharpness we longed for, we still enjoyed each chapter.

Today, when the master Akira Toriyma is no longer physically here, I stopped to reflect on the things that as an anime lover I still enjoy.
Because I know it's fantasy, but the way it conveyed joy, principles and goodness is what I rescued the most, because each chapter was a hymn to innocence and the joy of living.
Today I continue to enjoy new anime, works that by maintaining ideals such as friendship, respect or wisdom ennoble me and help me enjoy what I do, so much so that I share it with my daughter, being a family space of enjoyment and rejoicing.
Master Toriyama is gone and these lines are a way to thank him for his legacy in me.
