In the second part of the story of Los Cañoneros, which I published on this platform, I told about several people who were very important for our professional career. Among them I mentioned Dr. Guillermo Valentiner (1932-2010), who for me, personally, has been one of the people who gave me the most support and in whom I found a great friend.
This man, who was the founder of one of the most important pharmaceutical companies in the country, Vargas Laboratories, and who as a sports lover was the creator of the basketball team Cocodrilos de Caracas, Cocodrilos Sport Park and was the one who raised and converted the Caracas Football Club in multi-champions, he was also a music lover and made it part of his life.
For him the employees of his company, the athletes of his teams and the musicians, were not employees, they were rather friends or colleagues.
We could verify that from the first time we performed in his house, in 1983, where he introduced us, counting with luxury of details the life of each of the members of the group (to our surprise), and from that moment we were received as part of the family, as part of the house.
His departure was very painful and on that occasion I wrote him the following poem:
Traveler
Constant traveler,
from one adventure to another.
Traveler from Caracas, Hamburg and Philadelphia.
A bag of dreams come true
and another, bigger one, of dreams to be done.
Traveler accompanied by a Cuatro and the maracas,
of friends, of revelry ...Now you started this trip
and you left us our bags, full of memories.Ylich

En la segunda parte de la historia de Los Cañoneros, que publiqué en esta plataforma, les contaba sobre varias personas que fueron muy importantes para nuestra carrera profesional, entre ellos mencioné al Dr. Guillermo Valentiner (1932-2010), quien para mí, en lo personal, ha sido una de las personas que mayor apoyo me brindó y en quien encontré a un gran amigo.
Este hombre, quien fue fundador de una de las más importantes empresas farmacéuticas del país, Laboratorios Vargas, y que como amante del deporte fue el creador del equipo de basquetbol Cocodrilos de Caracas, del Cocodrilos Sport Park y fue quien levantó y convirtió el Caracas Fútbol Club en multicampeones, también era amante de la música y la hacía parte de su vida.
Para él los empleados de su empresa, los deportistas de sus equipos y los músicos, no eran empleados, eran más bien amigos o compañeros.
Eso lo pudimos comprobar desde la primera vez que actuamos en su casa, en 1983, donde nos presentó, contando con lujo de detalles la vida de cada uno de los integrantes del grupo (para sorpresa nuestra), y desde ese mismo momento fuimos recibidos como parte de la familia, como parte de la casa.
Su partida fue muy dolorosa y en esa ocasión le escribí el siguiente poema:
Viajero
Viajero constante,
de una aventura a otra.
Viajero de Caracas, Hamburgo y Filadelfia.
Una valija de sueños realizados
y otra, más grande, de sueños por hacer.Viajero acompañado de un cuatro y las maracas,
de amigos, de jolgorio…
Emprendiste ahora este viaje
y nos dejaste las maletas, llenas de recuerdos.Ylich

Im zweiten Teil der Geschichte von Los Cañoneros, die ich auf dieser Plattform veröffentlicht habe, erzählte ich über mehrere Personen, die für unsere berufliche Laufbahn von großer Bedeutung waren. Unter anderem Dr. Guillermo Valentiner (1932-2010), der für mich persönlich zu den Personen gehört, die mich am meisten unterstützt haben und in denen ich einen wunderbaren Freund gefunden habe.
Dieser Mann, der Gründer eines der wichtigsten Pharmaunternehmen des Landes, Vargas Laboratories, und als Sportliebhaber der Schöpfer des Basketballteams Cocodrilos de Caracas, Cocodrilos Sport Park, und derjenige, der den Schwung gab und im mehrfacher Meister den Caracas Football Club konvertierte, war außerdem ein Musikliebhaber und machte es zu einem Teil seines Lebens.
Für ihn waren die Angestellten seiner Firma, die Athleten seiner Teams und die Musiker keine Angestellten, sondern eher Freunde oder Kollegen.
Wir konnten das nachprüfen, von unseren ersten Auftritt in seinem Haus im Jahr 1983, als er uns vorstellte, und das Leben jedes einzelnen Mitglieds der Gruppe (zu unserer Überraschung) mit Luxus in Einzelheiten zählte und von diesem Moment an empfang uns als Teil der Familie, als Teil des Hauses.
Sein Abschied war sehr schmerzhaft und bei dieser Gelegenheit schrieb ich ihm das folgende Gedicht:
Reisender
An Guillermo ValentinerStändiger Reisender,
von einem Abenteuer zum anderen.
Reisender aus Caracas, Hamburg und Philadelphia.
Eine Tasche voller Träume wahr gemacht
und eine andere, größere, von Träumen, noch zu erfüllen.
Traveller begleitet von einem Cuatro und den Maracas,
von Freunden, von Festlichkeit...Jetzt hast du diese Reise begonnen
und du hast uns unsere taschen voller erinnerungen hinterlassen.Ylich
