A suspect in connection with fatal gun attack in a shopping center in the state of Washington on Friday night was caught by the police.
Police identified him as Arcan Çetin, 20, of Oak Harbor, Washington. He was born in Turkey and is a legal permanent resident of the US, officials say.
The arrest took place in Oak Harbor, a town south-west of Burlington, where the shooting happened, reports "CNN".
Five people were killed inside a store in the shopping center "Cascade Mall". The FBI said there was no evidence that the shooting was linked to terrorism.
At a news conference, police said Cetin Arcan was identified as a suspect after a car was allegedly seen his footage of security cameras in the shopping center.
US authorities say four women were killed in a shooting at a shopping center in the north Seattle, while a man was injured critically.
The shooting occurred last night after 19:30, local time, in the city of Burlington, which is about 100 kilometers north of Seattle.
State police spokesman in Washington, Mark Francis, said police were looking for a Hispanic person, dressed in black and armed, who was last seen being removed from the center toward a highway.
NBC News quoted police as saying that Washington has no indication that this was a terrorist act.
KOMO News Network in Seattle has quoted witnesses who said the attacker had entered Macy's in downtown store, Cascade Mall, and opened fire.
