Anger, Lust, and Greed - These are the gateways to hell. Hell is not a place that is situated below the planet or somewhere in space. When a person is angry, lustful, and greedy, his life is surely hell, even if he does not realize it.

Anger destroys relationships that everyone can agree upon, but it also harms the health of the person experiencing it. Anger clouds proper vision and removes all traces of goodness and kindness from the heart, rendering the person unable to recognize even the kindest person near them. Anger also initiates other vices and prompts the person to act physically and thus harm others eventually. Therefore, it is better to try and control anger and remove oneself for a while before retorting or bursting out in anger.
Lust is a vice. It makes a person lose control and remain a slave to the senses. The lusty person is attracted by the flesh and eventually does not recognize right and wrong and, in turn, harms others, especially those who are helpless and vulnerable. The modern-day technology makes it easier for such people to enjoy media that is based on such stuff, making them perverts. It would take counseling to reform such individuals. If you come across such people, stay away and never entrust children, even if they seem to be innocent.
Greed is the most common vice that is seen almost everywhere. Not all greedy people are bad, but it is still an undesirable trait. Have you noticed people among your close friends or family who are always interested in any new thing others possess and would do anything to get it for themselves? Such a trait leads them to beg, borrow, or steal. So, greed is not good because anything in excess is indeed very bad. Greed also leads to anger because when something is denied, naturally, it will cause anger and then lead to further crimes. This is why the title I wrote makes sense.
Vices cannot be removed in a day or two, but if a person tries to reform and strives to recognise others, then there will be a ray of light that can lead to a better life.

That part about stepping away before reacting hit me. I struggle with that, so I try a short walk and breathe, my mouth wants to race but my feet go for a walk first :)
Your right that anger blinds us and even turns small issues into a mess, and it really hurts health too :(
Greed linking back to anger is so real in daily life, so making small habits like pause, count, pray' or just switch tasks has helped me stay sane, slowly but definately better.
