We have this problem in Poland. A lot of people are using opiates without knowledge of possibility of addiction. Little or none education of the matter is terrifying. I have some of my friends addicted to opiates and they didn't even realize it. They are popping tramadol like vitamins. And this medications are very cheap and accessible (prescription is needed, but every physician can prescribe it, just walk in and ask for it ). Nobody is doing anything about this. Sad reality...
