Giving back to the community is one big act most kind hearted people take pleasure in, during our one year service to our father land we are expected to carry out a project for the community or state we are being posted to.
In the early hours of yesterday we made a visit to the nearest popular market here in the community where I serve.
The visit was to educate the market women on the importance to cleaning their environment and washing their hands before eating.
Before going in to the market we first seek permission from the market union president. We granted us the permission to go on.
We bought brooms, waste bin, and packer this items were used to clean the market after which we gave some of the items to the market women.
Our visit draw a lot of attention because we were all on our uniform.
Language almost wanted to be a barrier but myself and another lady came through.
I spoke to the market women with the popular Nigeria English (pigin) while my colleague spoke the native language (Igbo).
At the end we went back to the market union president and we handed over the basket and Packers to him .
We took pictures and some entertainment for my colleagues.
It was indeed a fulfilled day.
That's me talking.
We gave the market women broom
