My hope is that they aren't actually cancelling transactions but rather placing the funds in escrow and making a determination based upon a third party to either award or return the funds from escrow.
Hi, I am writing to you because I am hoping to get support to build up a new niche on Steem. Steem already has an abundance of travel, personal blogging and crypto/finance successes. But for Steem to continue to grow, it should have many more thriving niches.
I am starting to write a Light Novel here on Steem, and I feel that there is huge potential for Steem to be a platform for a thriving Otaku community (people who are interested in Anime, Manga and Light Novels, among other things). Even outside of Asia, there are many, many fans of these types of media.
I'm sure that with a demonstrated success on Steem, there will be many people who would be willing to move their discussions on the niche to Steem. Fanfiction authors would also have huge incentive to switch to a platform like Steem.
If at all possible, please have a read of my work, and upvote to help the niche gain some visibility.

Mm, I think they are over egging this, "transactions can only be cancelled before they've been confirmed", but that's kind of the point isn't it? Anybody can cancel something before they've confirmed it, or am I missing something?

Interesting, even its 3 month old news. i think the feature they are discribing in only a internal thing, so it might be useful in some cases if you use ipay for most of the user it wont be of any help.
