Bitshares has seen a massive rise and fall over the last 30 days or so. As an amateur investor who knows little about the market, what is happening to Bitshares specifically?
Why has it crashed beneath $0.50? I've poked around the internet a little bit recently but haven't found much information about this particular crash. I would appreciate some insight.

In the 5 minutes it took to write this it has dropped to $0.33 ...
The entire market is falling. Bitshares is rising and falling in step with the rest of the market. No news here.

The price keeps going down because of margin calls. The market is just working itself out.
Because people are actually buying and encouraging the fall. Since most people want to buy at the lowest point, when it starts to go up it should go vertical. But i dont know where it might end.
The major problem in this whole crypto market is how you enter and exit with fiat even if you dont want bitcoin litcoin etc. You still have to get it to exchange for the ALT coin that you want.crypto has to be in a free market for it to survive longterm.If this does not change bitcoin and coinbase are the dominos that will crash everythink . we have a dex but we need one with fiat gateway .we have to rise up against bitcoin before its ruins everything
If only you could buy bit-(currency) (the bitshares one) in coinbase. it would be an easy solution to that problem, and Bitshares would also rise a lot which is sexy.
