That's wild! I kinda have mixed feelings about it. I'm no fan of any state, BUT, If a state is going to use a crypto, I think all government owned wallets should be identified, and public keys made available so their transactions can be monitored by the population.
This is absolutely a positive for El Salvador. BTC, despite it's volatility, is WAY stronger in the long term than the USD. It's good they aren't totally dependent on it anymore.
I've been more interested in Salvadorian politics than my own country lately because of all this. 😆
