Maybe that's not to the point, but what I observe is that companies now tend to rely more on AI than people and thus procedures get lost behind the scene. At my company we had several AI implementations and after we have run some vulnerability scans we were scared by what AI did in terms of security. I wonder if Facebook relies more now on AI code which can become messy, even from security point of view...

I think facebook relies heavily on AI to do the bulk of sustaining security on the app, and we know security issues isn't always black and white. Their support is also non-existent, and they're basically just running the site with some bunch of clueless AI integrations
