Crypto is NOT ready for mass private decentralized use

in #crypto5 years ago (edited)

Until the layperson can use cryptocurrency cheaply and conveniently to buy food and pay bills, without a privacy-destroying smart device or centralized bank account, crypto isn't ready for mass adoption! I mean that not as an attack, but as constructive criticism. I've had big hopes for crypto for almost 10 years, but it still isn't a reality for me. I won't use a smart device and I am unbanked, and I'm not alone. Crypto needs to be accessible to people who value privacy and decentralization!

Perhaps on the next big price move up, bridges between the crypto world and fiat world will be made, which don't require smart devices or bank accounts.

Thanks for the footage, @Drutter, it's fun people watching, and watching people watching you. Watching the watchers hehehe. Those guys make cryptos sound so easy! step one: find a job that pays in crypto. Step 2: Find a rental with room and board included and a landlord who accepts crypto....etc etc ;)

Yeah right! A landlord that accepts crypto, and doesn't mind that I dab like a locomotive?!

What do you do when the big corporations still take cash but private businesses don't? Which do you support? I guess big corps still allow it but discourage it because it's legal tender, but private businesses are giving in to the fear porn propaganda and refusing cash...what do you do when a business refuses legal tender?

Crypto is ready. Only the people are not ready due to a lack of knowledge because not all people know about BITCOIN or CRYPTO. It's our duty to share the knowledge that we have and to teach them the basics of CRYPTOCURRENCY. Start from HIVE to share and little by little they will learn about crypto. Do your part...
