The reason falling for scams is in my opinion often sheer greed. And yeah, I guess like everybody, I also felt for a scam once but luckily it was just for about $200 bucks. The main reason in my opinion is (like it was with me) FOMO. FOMO leads to not researching and blinds us to obvious red flags. Thats why I tell everybody: Do your own research and do it proper!

Lucky you, you learnt this lesson for only $200. I can relate to your FOMO impulse. Many times we give in to that, as we are not left with sufficient time to research the project.
No one can conduct an in depth research on all the launches taking place every day. In the absence of solid research, stick to the established projects only.
