That was a long wait, but look out Coinbase- you are finally getting some competition!
About a year ago I signed up for early access to Voyager and spread the word about the $25 Bitcoin bonus.
8 months ago I posted that the iOS app was live.
Today I installed the Android Beta App.
The installation was easy, and I chose to recover my password with the original email address I signed up with because I couldn't find it.
A link was sent to my email to reset, and then I created a new password. There is not much of a prompt of what kind of password is needed, but only strong passwords are allowed. I put in a strong password, then logged in with it.
To finish opening your account (which isn't explained), click "buy" under one of the cryptocurrencies. The app will then ask you a few more questions to open your account. It took under a minute.
You don't have to fund your account at this point for the bonus(es). I poked around and looked under "History", then "Transfers", and I saw that two BTC bonuses for $25 each were already pending. See screenshot above.
Woot! I have a $50 in BTC coming my way, not bad!
Seven people signed up for Voyager through my link about a year ago, so if by any chance one of those seven people sees this, please finish opening your account, now available for iOS and ANDROID, AND GET YOUR BONUS!
Voyager seems to allow you to transfer fiat from your bank account and buy crypto commission-free, with a $10 transfer minimum. Crypto deposits and withdrawals are not available yet in the Android beta app. This seems the only competitor on the market able to threaten Coinbase. Robinhood allows commission free crypto trading, but you can't withdraw the crypto, only buy and sell. Voyager is also planning on rolling out IRA crypto accounts, which would also be amazing. This company seems to be one to watch, they are making some good moves, even if they took a while!
