It's always good to keep an eye on the up-and-coming projects. I do however think that as the space matures and developers/builders get deeper into particular chains, there is going to need to be a big incentive to move to another chain. In the earlier cycles everything was new and not very developed. It was easier to hop around or move interest to the next shiny chain.
I personally look forward to people putting more energy into building functionality, applications, etc. Instead of chasing a new chain that could be the next “big thing“. Obviously there’s plenty of room for innovation still, but I would like to see people focus on building functionality and preparing for mass adoption. We have a great L1s already
