Hi Guys!
Recently happened something terrible to me, I know we all have been there.
I broke my iPhone screen.
I usually don't care if my iPhone gets stolen, or if I lose it. Don't get me wrong, I know an iPhone cost a lot of money, but there is something that we all should care more about, and it is our DATA.

Since Apple released iCloud in 2011, I stop worried about the data I could have in my iPhone, since it's going to be in all my devices and with a security backup in iCloud. No matter what happen to the iPhone I have, everything it's on the cloud. You get a new iPhone and you can copy all the information that it's in iCloud and now you have the same information as you had in your previous iPhone. (Stay tuned because in my next posts I'll explain how to get the full potential of iCloud )
Great, right?
It is awesome actually, but I have not thought about this little big issue that I know we can all potentialy have in the future, and it is 2F Authentification keys.
Guess what? If you make a back up security to a new iPhone, you will get everything as it was in your previous iPhone, but you WILL NOT GET YOUR 2FA KEYS.
I know most people here in steemit are into crypto, but for those who are not familiarized with the concept, let me explain.
What it's a 2FA Authentification Key?
According to techtarget "Two-factor authentication (2FA), often referred to as two-step verification, is a security process in which the user provides two authentication factors to verify they are who they say they are. "
The most popular one in crypto community it's Google Authenticator
What it's Google Authenticator?

Google Authenticator it's an app developed by Google which generates a diferent code every amount of time so it would be harder for someone to hack your account not knowing the new code that will be generated each 30 seconds.
You can be your own bank
"A great power comes a great responsibility"
I'm pretty sure that most of the people here in this community, believe that crypto will be huge in the years to come, that's why I want to make you some recommendations so you will have your money safe.

a) 2FA BackupCodes
I want to emphasize this as much as I can, if you got some crypto in an exchange that asked you for a 2FA Key, and you did not wrote your backup code in a safe piece of paper, stop what you are doing right now, deactivate your 2FA Keys and reactivate them , so you can write down you backup codes. Otherwise, IF YOU LOSE YOUR PHONE YOU WILL LOSE ACCESS TO YOUR CRYPTO FUNDS.
b) Use a device you won't be carrying all day with you!
Try to have your 2FA keys in a device you know you can keep in home safe, for instance an iPad, or the old iPhone you still have in the drawer. Minimize the chance of an iPhone lost or stolen.
c) Use a good password manager
This is one of the most importants, get yourself a good password manager, preferably if it's compatible with iCloud, I personally use 1Password it's one of the bests I know.
Let me know what others suggestions about security you would think necessaries.
