"I know many of you have asked us now that Znodes is launched, what is next?
First of all, don't worry, we took a short break and we are now getting back into gear!
Recruitment, Marketing, PR, Exchanges and Adoption
We have made two new dev hires which we will announce once concluding some documentation. We are also still expanding our team and are aggressively recruiting. There will also be a reorganization of our work to be more formal so that we have better QA and tight project management as we move to become a bigger team. During the run up we converted some of our team funds into fiat currencies to ensure we are adequately funded for the next 1 year regardless of market prices.
We have engaged Pythia to provide a whole range of marketing, social media management, SEO and PR. We are excited to have a professional consulting company take care of us. They will also be working to integrate us with existing online market places. They commence on the 11th January.
We have some deals that we are working on in Thailand and will announce as soon as something more concrete is in place. These efforts are aimed at getting Zcoin being used in the real world and we are using our position of strength in the region.
We are also always continuously working and are in active negotiations on getting listed on additional exchanges especially in the Asian region.
Development: Short Term
Right now we are in the final testing stages of our Zerocoin revamp which will form the foundation of our Zerocoin code moving forward. This is available in our Discord channels for testing. This gives 4x speed optimization boosts in verification and works a lot more efficiently. It also optimizes the wallet greatly.
We are doing Znode code cleanup and also working on getting an Insight server up which will greatly improve our explorer performance and also open the door for Trezor and also mobile implementations (which are underway).
GUI development is also resuming as our GUI designer took a break for the Christmas. We need this to be in line with our Zerocoin development as there are additional features we are adding.
We're trying to push and fit our integration to Ledger as soon as we can as their schedule is very tight. We will keep you posted on this.
Aizensou believes he has an Electrum light wallet implementation up pretty soon as well.
Although Zcoin has had full TOR support for a while, Poramin is working on making it easier for TOR integration into the core wallet making it easier for newbies to turn on and off.
Development: Mid Term
MTPv2 coding has started. We don't see huge hurdles in this but we are going to take our time to get this right. The code is not vastly different from MTPv1 which means a lot of our code can be reused.
We hope to have integrated miners into our wallet as well to make mining easier for the newbie which is also in line with MTP's objectives.
Payment code BIP47 implementation (better version of Stealth addresses with light wallet support). The original stealth address implementation does not support light wallets due to the need to scan the entire blockchain.
Zerocoin on Eth mixer: Although a lot of progress has been made in this area as can be seen from the github there are a lot of technical hurdles due to the calculations required by Zerocoin hence the delay.
Sigma, EZC and Dandelion research
Consideration of possibility of smart contract capability with privacy focus: blind auctions, voting etc.
Mining and Blocktime considerations
These changes most likely will happen when we move to MTPv2 and appreciate feedback.
Considering reduction of blocktime to 3.5 - 5 minutes. We are not convinced having too short a blocktime would be good for Zerocoin implementations so are being careful about this.
Considering adjustment of difficulty algorithm to adjust every block instead of every 6 blocks
