Wow... I mean. I knew that stockpiling NXT tokens would get me free Ignis shares when the snapshot took place on 12/28. When I first started buying NXT I was getting them for like $0.58 per coin. Ignis was futures trading at around $3.00. So I was gonna get a free $3.00 coin for every $1.16 I spent on NXT. Plus I keep the NXT. That was a no brainer.
So I put together 1022 NXT before the snapshot. Tonight I downloaded the Ardor Wallet and opened up my Ignis wallet to see my 511 free Ignis Tokens. Sweet. Let's plug those into my Coinlib.io portfolio and see where we're at.
I knew Ignis had been traded up to around $10 a share. But seeing this line kind of stole my breath a little bit...
Now... This is not a trade able asset at this point. So can I count on realizing a $14.00 per coin profit? I'm not willing to count on it. But damn, if that holds up, I cashed in.
Oh, and I sold 750 of the NXT at a profit. AND they were all bought with SBD payouts to begin with.

I don't understant NXT..what's the wallet? I'm using the NXT desktop wallet which is weird. It does not look anything like your wallet. Trying to access the ardor wallet site..doesnt even load. What is this stuff? I got like 20k worth of Ignis..hypotetically..cant even access the stuff.
uhm..I finally managed to download the ardor wallet and I can see my Ignis! Can't find the exact same screen that you took a shot of..but at least it's there. :)
that'sbecause I was taking a snapshot of my coinlib.io portfolio. It's a site that lets you plug in all of your trades and coins so you can track everything on one page instead of hoping around from wallet to wallet.

yeah. BitSwift doesn't have as much appeal as the Ignis since it is trading at a lower rate, and they haven't announced an exact distribution ratio. But I am not selling all of my Ignis right away for sure.
Understandable, but it is still a freebie :) I believe it is either 10% of your NXT at the snapshot, or 10% of your Ignis tokens. So you should end up with either 50+ or 100+, depending on which it is. Still a nice $100-200 extra, which I certainly wouldn't turn down.
That feels good. I started my crypto portfolio with about 30sbd...it was real nice to see that as $300 in a wallet, then grow to about $500 the last time litecoin jumped.

Nice one Mike. I kind dropped out of trading towards the end of the year cos, well for lack of a better way to describe it, i was shit at it. I held OK cash and NEO when they both tanked. Im considering getting into it again in the new year though. Have a couple of ICOs at the moment that are sort of promisin - HEROcoin and Matryx. Both are on small exchanges and not doing too bad.
I'm crap at trying to buy the dip and sell the top, but finding promising coins to buy and HODL seems like a lot of fun. Of course, for me, I'm using my SBD payouts to buy the coin, so it is all funny money to me. There is no "loss" for me, it's all profit.
Glad to see you loaded up. I was surprised to see more people weren't taking advantage of this. An airdrop or split are the easiest ways to make massive gains in crypto.
I don't think it will open over $10 and when it does there is going to be massive dumping, but who knows what 2018 will bring for IGNIS and Ardor. The question is who will be the first exchange to support it? Opened my HitBTC account today just in case... Happy New Year!
Ardor is at $0 on Coinspot. Not sure what happened there.
Yeah I dunno. HitBTC isn't accepting it yet. Bittrex said they would support the airdrop but had to figure out how to deal with the tokens. I did buy some last minute NXT and left them on Bittrex, so I should have 40 Ignis show up there whenever Bittrex decides they are going to support the coin. We'll see. I'm not dumping it all right away, but I would like to take some profit out of it and buy bags of a couple other coins I am eyeing for 2018.

So I've been trying to use Coinlib.co for my portfolio. I have to backdate stuff, and I can't get the numbers to make sense. Do they have a "help" section?
When it asks for "price per coin" and your doing alt-alt (Stratis-Ether), not sure what the "price" of the Ether used in the sale would be. Think is more of an issue with the data I get from the exchanges I'm pulling the moves from.
How do you account for Steem?
There is never anything wrong with free coins, and it looks like NXT has started to recover after the dump as well
