 #Bitcoin Falls by $1,400 After Crash of Major #Crypto #Exchange #Coinbase 

Bitcoin’s (BTC) price fell by $1,400 within minutes after a crash of United States-based cryptocurrency trading platform Coinbase on June 25.

Coinbase first reported that it was investigating an issue in which its API and website were not functioning properly at 1:47 p.m. PDT on its status website.

According to the daily chart of bitcoin price on #Coin360, bitcoin’s price and market cap began to plummet around 1:25 p.m. PST, just minutes before Coinbase’s first announcement.

 #Craig #Wright Unable to Access Bitcoin Fortune, Says #Bloomberg Report 

The Craig Wright case is moving forward with an unexpected turn of events. In the latest reports published on 28th June 2019 by Bloomberg, Wright claimed that he didn’t have any kind of access to his Bitcoin fortune. Thus, he won’t be able to comply with the court order that required him to furnish a thorough list of all of his early public Bitcoin addresses. This court order came on 3rd May and was issued by the US District Court of the Southern District of Florida.

Not just this, Wright has also stated that he may never be able to have access to the coins.

 #Binance Talking to #Facebook About #Libra Listing: Reports 

According to reports in the crypto press on Thursday, cryptocurrency exchange Binance is talking to Facebook about getting involved in the social media giant’s upcoming Libra project.

Finance Magnates says it spoke to Binance at the #FinTech Junction event in Israel on Thursday, with the exchange’s CSO, Gin Chao, saying that early discussions have taken place with Facebook over a possible future listing of the libra token.

 Former #Visa Exec-Led Startup Ships Nearly 4,000 Crypto Cards in a Week 

#Crypterium, crypto payment firm led by former Visa exec, has shipped about 4,000 crypto debit cards in a week since the launch of the card, according to a press release on June 27.

Crypterium, an Estonia-headquartered fintech company, launched its Crypterium Card on June 12, offering global community a prepaid card loaded with major cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), litecoin (LTC), USD Coin (USDC), as well as Crypterium’s own CRPT token.

 Six Arrested Over Cloned Crypto Exchange That Stole €24 Million 

A fake exchange website has managed to steal €24 million (over $27 million) in cryptocurrency from thousands of victims.

European law enforcement agency Europol said in a press release Wednesday that six individuals have now been arrested over the scam in an operation that also involved the UK’s South West Regional #Cyber #Crime Unit and National Crime Agency, along with Dutch police and Eurojust.
