Cardano (ADA) and Stellar Lumens are two cryptocurrencies that are performing really, really well. They've started out 2018 with a bang! Both technologies have solid technologies behind them, and deviate from bitcoin's Proof of Work algorithm. They intend to solve bitcoin's scalability issues and make transactions occur faster along with other improved features.
Bitcoin and Ethereum have a long and established track records, so they will not be going anywhere. Bitcoin is being accepted as more of a good store of value. And, Ethereum is scheduled for a number of upgrades.
If you've not invested in Cardano and Stellar, try looking into them and maybe investing a modest amount won't hurt.
