RenRen, China's old-school social media platform, is now trying to stay relevant by launching its own ICO project called RRCoin. The RRCoin whitepaper, which is available only in Chinese right now, reveals that there'll be 1 billion total coins in circulation. Just like Steemit, RenRen plans to incentivize sharing and posting content that'll all be stored in a blockchain.
RenRen's stock price on NYSE nearly doubled when news hit the markets.
