What is Kind Ads?

Kind Ads is a decentralized ad platform. The Kind Ads Protocol is at the center of this platform, allowing publishers to be scored and ranked based on how trusted they are.

Kind Ads will change the way publishers interact with advertisers. A direct relationship that will mean more cost-effective advertising that is catered to the end-users who are genuinely interested in the product.

As the name implies, Kind Ads will enable a less intrusive form of advertising. A type of advertising that is permission based. Since it is a decentralized platform, publishers save on the large fee typically associated with the middlemen who connect them to the service.

Kind Ads will even allow users to get compensated for viewing ads. This will let companies reach their target audience while respecting the user's decision to opt-out if they choose to do so.

Modern Advertising

The world of modern advertising is something that every internet user struggles with. Spam, pop-ups and commercials that ruin the users experience. The amount of revenue generated through online advertising is growing, and the user-experience is only becoming worse.

The problem with this form of advertising affects all parties involved.

The Advertiser

Companies interested in putting up ads pay high fees for inefficient advertising. How many times have you clicked an ad on a pop-up and purchased something? The advertising company also goes through a third-party service that charges a fee to put up the advertisements. These are often large services that work with many websites to sell their ad-space. The advertising party itself does not have easy access to publishers that can reach their demographics.

The advertising party also has little to no control as to the quality of the audience their ads are being presented to.

The Publisher

The publisher works with an advertising agency. The advertising agency controls an ad-space and sells it to whomever they deem appropriate while taking a cut in the process. This means that much of the advertisement is irrelevant to the user base and not cost efficient.

The User

The users are forced to see advertising that is intrusive and irrelevant. On top of that, websites are freely taking user information and selling it without any regard for user privacy. It is a free for all, and the end-user is the one suffering all the damage.

The Giants

The current world of marketing is controlled by a few major players. Corporations such as Alphabet (Google) and Facebook controls a large portion of the market. This means they can dictate pricing and set conditions that benefit them the most.

This leads to a marketplace which is unbalanced and takes advantage of publishers as well as users. Without alternatives, these corporations can continue to charge a large commission, while retaining control over the distribution of ads.

Decentralized Advertising With Kind Ads

Kind Ads aims to connect the business directly to their target demographic. With the use of blockchain technology, Kind Ads will remove the third party between the business and the user. This means that the advertiser can access better targeted marketing at a lower rate.

This is beneficial to the publisher as well. The don't have to deal with ad networks, fees, commissions and late payments. They can also control who advertises to their users, giving them to power to control relevancy. Due to nature of smart contracts, payouts are instant.

This will make the experience better for all parties involved.

Shopping for Ads: Be Your Own Lead

Have you ever bought a car? A house? Searched for something online and made a purchase as a result?

In these scenarios, you are the lead. Companies pay to ensure that you end up buying from their website when you search for something.

With Kind Ads, you can choose to enter your information and advertisers can bid for your attention. This means that you get the commission on selling yourself! This also means that advertisement will be targeted to you for items that you want.

Let's say you are in the market for a laptop.

Why not get paid to let advertisers have your attention? Your ads will be populated according to your profile, with laptop companies, suggesting various laptops along with their prices.

Most importantly, you can choose to remain anonymous and opt-out of ads altogether!

The Kind Ads economy will run on KIND tokens. The advertising companies can pay with KIND for marketing services rendered, while users and publishers can earn them. The entire platform runs on KIND, meaning that advertisers must purchase the tokens in order to use the network. This will ensure a continuous injection of money into the system, as well as a way for earners to cash out.

Write an article about Kind Ads and how it would impact the world of online marketing. How will cutting out the middle man from advertising benefit publishers and users? How does decentralization help combat large corporations that are currently dominating the space? How could Kind Ads change the way companies interact with their potential demographic? As always, the contest is open ended. Be creative and have fun!
Feel free to use images and media from their website. You can even make your own video and have it in your submission! Videos have a chance of winning a separate bonus based on quality. Videos should be uploaded to YouTube, DTube or IPFS. Please do not remove the videos, or it might impact future eligibility. Feel free to make a new YouTube account for these. We really wanted to use DTube, but sometimes the videos were not view-able at all. We may change this in again in the future. For the time being please ensure whatever service you choose to use is working.
The article must be at least 250 words in length and it is recommended(not mandatory) that the length is under ~1500 words.
At least 70% of the submission must be original. Using "article spinners", and other word substitution tools is also not permitted. Non-original content does not qualify for a bonus.
All copied text must be in quotes.
