INTRODUCING : LEAF WALLET

"Of great power comes great responsibility" I'm pretty sure you have heard that particular quote once or twice , And personally I do not know where it came from exactly but the first time I heard it was in a movie ... From one of my favourite Marvel Comics characters.

From my fascination of the amazing web slinger , his adventures and more with the brain that created him.

And since we are talking about webs , although I may not be swinging and making crazy dives off of sky scrapers . I have had my own share of adventure while swinging and surfing the world wide web.

And I have come to understand the importance of privacy and why it is important to take charge and be in control.

BITCOIN IS POWER :

This has become some sort of a common saying as this power will bring about a revolution never before seen and with this power is the closely following "responsibilities"

And on that note taking extra care of your assets will be the most heroic thing you will do for yourself and the said revolution.

So now , lets talk about security ... Lets talk about LEAF WALLET?

What is Leaf Wallet? :

(I'll break this down to bits so it can be grasped more easly.)

It is (a/an/the)...

• a plug-in wallet

• easy to use and secure wallet with a cryptographic currency function.

• wallet capable of using various DApps safely and effectively

• compatible with the scatter communications protocol.

Asides the listed things , it is the first EOS wallet designed for daily use by its consumers.

:. Furthermore since we will be talking about the components of this NewDex supported EOS wallet , It is expected that you have an EOS account ... unless you do not , you can learn to create an EOS wallet with video tutorials from youtube.

In order to better understand the wallet and what it does lets start by creating the Leaf Wallet

How to download and create the Leaf Wallet : "How to download(steps)" -

a). Search for "Leaf Wallet" on your system browser.

b). There you will find a tab that says "Download chrome extension".

c). Click on the tab and once done the page takes you to the google chrome web store.

d). When there click on "add to chrome" then click on add extension.

c). After that's done click on the upper right corner of your wallet and you will find your plug-in wallet.

d). You can change the language to anyone you'd prefer (there are currently just two languages : english and chinese, so you can take your pick).

How to create your leaf wallet account (steps) -

To create the plug-in account ...

a). Firstly create a password.

b). Then click on the "Start using" tab.

c). Click on the "import" tab.

d). After that is done import your private keys from your EOS account and after click on the "import" button.

...Once that is done you would have completely set up your Leaf Wallet.

#Quick-thought :

While taking a quick look at #NewDex I learned that Newdex is an EOS.IO-based decentralized exchange. The exchange backs code scanning transaction through wallet and transaction with implanting in wallet and is supported by blockchain wallets, like EOS Token, Bitpie. Cryptocurrencies, KARMA, ADD, and IQ.

Since NewDex is a decentralized exchange and if going by the incident of 2018.

• I would say that it is understandable as its in a bid to re-establish confidence in investors and enthusiasts , which is a pretty dope move IMHO.

Components :

• Leaf wallet is created in a way that all data are saved on the device .

• And it has an in built alert system that runs checks on to see if applications are harmful or could leak data from the device .

• One of the things Leaf Wallet also provides is whats called "single sign-on" or SSO, It is quite self explanatory too by its name because at a closer look what it does is that it makes it possible that you don't have to log in with a password .

It'll just prevent account intrusions and prevents hackers from cracking the account e.g The icon changes color to prompt the user when the external website is authorized by the plug-in.

Another #Quick-thought :

Leaf wallet - Since the execution of each contract is clear and intuitive , ensuring the correct and safe execution of the contract .

And...

NewDex - Has a smart contract based on the mechanism of "matching and settlement on-chain".

#Final-thought and conclusion :

• Since the blockchain is an ever growing and evolving space , it is understandable that mistakes are inevitable.

Going by that it is understandable why asset security is " very very" important.

• It also clear why NewDex chose to invest in a project like Leaf Wallet .

• I also personally do not see any reason not to tryout Leaf Wallet I haven't seen any red flag.

• And since its a new project its safe to assume there'd be improvements.
