(Newton Portal dashboard)
Over the past few days I have been getting involved in the Magic Newton project after I spotted a couple of Hivians talking about it in the Bro Discord server. After making initial enquiries with Bro project founder @raymondspeaks, who has been a subscriber of the Newton project for several months now, I decided to sign up and see what it's all about.
My word even from the Discord facing side of the project Newton is a very comprehensive and sophisticated setup. There is no possible way I could go into everything in just one post so I will just outline, in what is a kind of introductory post, what I have learned so far and where this project is going.
Newton appears to be an extraordinarily unique crypto project that doesn't even have a token launched at this stage. It has been created by New York based Magic Labs, a company that has been well received in the crypto space. It is also supported with $83m in backing including from corporates like PayPal Ventures.
At the current time subscribers can collect Ethereal Credits from completing a whole host of tasks, including the sign up process.
At its core Magic Newton is a network that seeks to unite different chains by bringing seamless cross-chain wallet connections to the AggLayer, thus allowing users simplified access to apps and liquidity across all of the cryptosphere. It's a bold endeavour utilising AI and automated finance protocols which could have profoundly serious upsides for crypto finance generally.

A simple visit to the homepage of their incredibly slick moving image website sets the tone straight away. From there you can sign up to the Newton Portal and start earning some introductory credits. From here linking your Discord account will get you another 100 credits straight away.
A nice feature of the site is that each day you get to roll the dice which will give you some daily credits. Depending on which role you have you can also increase your dice rewards. I currently have the Initiate role so I can earn an extra 1.5 credits per roll of the dice. But you can work your way up to a role where you attract 5 x credits per throw of the dice.
You really should as soon as possible link your Portal to your Discord account as there is a very strong interactivity between Newton and Discord. The Discord server now has 500,000 registered users. From there you should consider selecting your roles and I would urge you to consider completing as many trials of Newton as you can in the dedicated Discord channel.
Once you have some basics under your belt I would next advise you to link your Portal with your Newton Guild account, which can be done from the Portal.
At the current time of writing the Portal is separate to the Guild when it comes to credit balances and other wallet features. However, Newton intends to merge the two at some stage. But for now in your Newton Guild there are various other rewards to unlock, again completing tasks such as liking or reposting Newton posts on X.
At this stage of the game we really can't know exactly where this is all going. It feels very much like we are part of something that has the genuine potential to be big for crypto. Of course it's very early days and the project only launched last November. But nonetheless it's as if we are in a pre-mining phase of the project, and while we are not accruing tokens as such we are stacking credits. What those credits will turn into or can be used for we don't know at this stage.
Either way whatever Newton will become or achieve I am damn sure I want to be part of it.

Ha! Yeah I can imagine you have your hands full. Did you see my other Newton post I published yesterday, in which I am going to get a feel for whether or not it would be useful to establish a Hive Newton community. Do you reckon it's wanted or needed? I thought it might even create some engagement between Hive and Newton, we might be able to onboard both ways. What do you reckon?

You get this sense of - "its probably BS" take over your thinking often. As if your positivity is held hostage by uncontrollable cynicism.
Maybe tomorrow morning, after a strong black coffee, I'll fight myself and get involved.

Give it a go I say, I did and I have not regretted anything. The great thing is that I'm not investing any of my own money and potentially mining which is the kind of project I like to get involved with. However, once we know where this is all going and I like what I'm seeing I will have no hesitation in buying in.
I don't think I've ever posted before about the launch of a new crypto project that I'm personally staked in, so I don't normally do these sort of posts.
However, I totally know where you're coming from when you talk about a lot of things being BS, let's be honest there's a lot of it around in crypto land. How many projects have launched with hype and fanfare and then vanished? Quite a few!
So I am always cautious with the launch of any new crypto project and it goes without saying always do your due diligence. But in Newton's case there's no risk whatsoever at this stage so why not!
