This is something else. I remember when Bitcoin first achieved 9k, how Reddit was flooded with Vegeta memes... look how far we've come now!
Bitcoin actually went from $15k at the start of yesterday, to $18k raround the end, and sits around $16 now, according to coinmarketcap...
...this is amazing. But dangerous.
You see, as you can tell from the vast number of exchanges suddenly losing their shit under record traffic, Bitcoin is entering the mainstream. As such, everybody is now scrambling to get some Bitcoin.
... this is how you get a bubble, basically.
Let me set this straight. I believe that long-term, Bitcoin's value will far surpass what we've seen so far. But if it gets there too damn fast, it surely won't stay at that value for long...
For now, it seems to have stabilized a bit. Now is a short window to invest in altcoins, as they will be rising next (and have already started to do so).
Regardless, the future is a treasure trove of possibilities. Let's just hope that in trying to reach for all of them, Bitcoin doesn't end up shooting itself in the foot by rising so fast it catches government attention...

Indeed, tragic how many people see this tech miracle as a way to get rich quick, instead of the paradigm shift it is.
I myself will hold it long, until it truly hits the mainstream. Wish other people thought the same
