It takes something pretty serious to make people change their social media habits as they get used to going to where all their friends are. We need a mass movement to decentralised platforms. If we can reach 'critical mass' then we have a chance of getting somewhere.
I couldn't agree more! Something needs to give. What I worry is that when finally something like that happens, it might be something bad..... real bad. I am really hoping that we can push that change organically through marketing and good technology rather than something terrible that galvanizes people into taking action.
PS: I know that social media is considered 'fun' by people but the truth is that governments have risen and fallen because the same social media.
