How Institutions Try to Sneak into Crypto

in #cryptocurrencies7 years ago (edited)

While trolling the internet, I came across something which was no surprise...

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/08/09/fidelity-allows-clients-to-see-digital-currencies-on-its-website.html

Now don't be fooled here. Cryptocurrencies has been a hot topic these days. This article states that Fidelity Investment Inc are "warming up to cryptocurrencies" and "has started allowing clients to use its website to view their holdings of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies held through digital wallet provider Coinbase."

My translation? Read the second quote carefully. Since these firms typically manage investor accounts and attempt to pose this as an additional convenience, their real agenda is to spy on you and benefit from your profits from investing in bitcoin. Thanks but no thanks. Keep your Bitcoin close, it's yours and no one else's business. Stay tuned my friends!

Don't take my word? Listen to a wise man speak on it...
