Das ist aus "The Sparrows and the Nightingales" von Wolfsheim. Mit dem Song wollte Heppner, der das Lied geschrieben hat, sich vom Diktum der Religionen befreien und ich denke, das sollten wir unbedingt. Aber wir sollten uns von viel viel mehr befreien.
Am Ende meines Germanistikstudiums habe ich viele Seminare und Vorlesungen über Medientheorie besucht. Ich fing an, Songtexte zu analysieren, was leider nicht gerne gesehen wurde. Ich fühlte mich ein bisschen wie der Erzähler aus "Der kleine Prinz" [2], dessen Schlangen-Zeichnung niemand versteht. Bei mir ging es nicht um eine Zeichnung, aber doch um eine wichtige Idee.

It's from "The Sparrows and the Nightingales" by Wolfsheim (former German Wave Pop / Dark Wave band). With this song Heppner, who wrote it, wanted to set free vom religion, which we definitely should be doing. But we should free ourself from much more than that.
When I finished my studies of Modern German Literature, I attended some courses and lectures on the critics of media. I started analyzing song lyrics, but wasn’t very welcomed for that. I feld a little like the narrator in “The little prince” [2] who drew an image of a snail no one understands. While he was concerned with an image, I was concerned with an important idea.
Ich war damals von Fiktionen umgeben, ohne eine eigene zu haben. Aber warum? Wir sind von so vielen fremden Fiktionen umgeben, dass wir wohlmöglich nur bei uns selbst bleiben können, wenn wir unsere eigene, lebenswerte Fiktion entwerfen und sie jeden Tag aufs Neue umsetzen.
An dieser Stelle kommt der Begriff Arbeit ins Spiel, den ich allerdings nicht als "Erwerbsarbeit" interpretiere, sondern als zweierlei: Einerseits als Anerkennung der Tatsache, dass auf der Welt nicht alles so ist, wie es wünschenswert wäre. Und andererseits als Wunsch und Wille, alles, was in unserer Macht steht, dafür zu tun, in ihr das Gute, ein lebenswertes Leben, zu verwirklichen.
Back then I was surrounded by ideas without having an own. How was that possible? We are all surrounded by so many of other people’s fictions, that we can only stay true to ourselves, when we create our own worth living fictions and try to realize them day by day.
At this point the term labour (or: employment) comes into play. I do not like to interprete it as gainful employment, but something else: One the one hand as an acknowledgment of the fact that not everything in this world is as it is supposed to be. And on the other hand as a wish and the willingness of doing everything that is possible in order to realize the good, which is a life that is worth living.
Wie das kommt? Nun, bei Kryptowährungen geht es darum, zu investieren. Hat man geschickt investiert, kann man vom regelmäßigen Ertrag leben. Da aber, insbesondere die Alt-Coins (z.B. RAIN/Condensate [3] oder Gridcoin [4], [5] an eine reale Wertschöpfung (im weitesten Sinne: Kooperation) gebunden sind, reicht es nicht, nur einmalig zu investieren. Man muss das, in das man investiert hat, auch aktiv bewahren. Wenn es zu wenige gibt, die bereit sind, eine ursprünglich gute Idee umzusetzen, kann es passieren, dass sie im Sande verläuft und keinen Ertrag mehr abwirft.
How comes? Well, crypto currencies are about investing and life is too. If you invested wisely, you may live on your earnings. But since, especially alt-coins (such as RAIN/Condensate [3] or Gridcoin [4] [5]), depend on a real value (in a broader sense: cooperation), investing just once won’t work in the long run. You also have to be willing to actively preserve the value you invested in. If there are not enough people willing to support an idea that was once good, it might falls apart and won’t yield anymore.
So ist es z.B. beim Projekt RAIN/Condensate gewesen, ein Projekt, das eingeschlafen ist, weil sein Programmierer die Arbeit daran zeitweilig eingestellt hat (Ich werde darüber noch einen ausführlicheren Artikel schreiben.). Folglich sank auch der Kurs des Projektes, wie man auf Coinmarketcap [6] nachverfolgen kann. [7]
Die logische Schlussfolgerung lautet also, wenn du das, was dir wichtig, ist, ein Projekt, an dem du gerade arbeitest, oder auch einfach nur dich selbst, bewahren möchtest, musst du prüfen, was dich antreibt und dazu übergehen, das, was du tust, freiwillig zu tun und es in kompletter Übereinstimmung mit deinen tiefsten Überzeugungen zu tun.
That is what happened with the project RAIN/Condensate. The project fell asleep, because its programmer temporarily stopped working on it (I will go in detail on that in my next article). Therefore the market price of RAIN sank as you can see on Coinmarketcap. [6] [7]
The logical conclusion is: If you want to preserve, what is important to you, may it be a project you are working on, or simply yourself, you just have to consider, what is driving you and start doing the things, you are doing voluntarily, accourding to your deepest beliefs.

- Where is the heart in our society?
- Where is it supposed to be?
- Where is my heart?
- Where is it supposed to be?
And you'll get all the answers you need.
