When should I short ethereum? With the DAO being refunded the supply of eth should increase, thus lowering the price. Maybe I just completely wrong on this.

Well, who knows exactly what "crowd mentality" will do this time. One thing is perhaps evident this time -- Ethereum is rising!
The whales will ride it high, & ...Bam! Just like before, fear sets in. Another set of drama..actually, exciting days ahead. Be wisely careful, and good luck!
I've probably lost more in the last day or two on shorts then I can remember.... Just doesn't make sense to me.
Don't margin trade with Crypto, first is too volatile (I know, that's good for trading but only if you have inside information...) but it's also manipulated and illogical at times. A fund could manipulate BTC price easily at 10 billion market cap, not by a lot but definitely drop the price $20-30. This is what's basically happening right now and ETH is soaring. It's not crazy to think they are preparing a huge short.
I'm in a similar position but I don't have the balls really. I think this is a huge manipulation complete with the drop in BTC price. The Big ETH Short is coming, we're just not sure when!
I fear that I will be sleeping when it hits lol. One thing I think that's for sure is when it hits it's going to be hard and fast.
Exactly, just like when the DAO hack happened, I really feel uneasy and always maintained it was some sort of inside job. I think even Polo shorted Ethereum, the owner was in the chat room with VB!
I didn't know about that. Not really surprised by it though. Whenever a big move happens I'm always knocked off, and poloniex is not available.
Yes even if you are thinking of shorting, usually when a big moves like that happens the site becomes laggy as hell and you can't even close your position in the right time, so I don't think is worth the risk. Right now ETH is at $14...completely ridiculous if you ask me. It was $7 before the DAO and $14 after it ended in a hard fork? Really?
