It seems like ETH was the driving force to produce these types of GPUs. They most likely saw the huge success of companies that built asicc for bitcoin and now sing ETH is GPU only they want in on the gold rush
Suddenly there is a demand for the mining rigs and some are pricing themselves right out of the ball park @bitcoinflood One really has to do their homework before mining on their own.
HAHA! I know right ive been wanting to get a 2nd 1080 to SLI but the cost of one is through the roof compared to when I bought it. I picked mine up for about $520 they are now near $1,000 !

Yup sure do we ran into this a few years ago when bitcoin and some alt coins went up from a market cap of 10 billion to 40 billion.

Do you know how long the guarantee period will be?
Would always be changing as more people mine and produce more hashing power to a coin it becomes more difficult to mine and your rewards will go down.
I have AMD stock should have got out after last earnings . And put in cryptocurrency hopefully i get another chance.
