What is Video Poker?
Video Poker is a game based on five-card draw poker, it is the only gambling game, where practice and some smart shopping can enable you to be a big winner!
Yes, this is a game that can be beaten, but that is no doubt when it comes to playing video poker there are no strategies that can affect the turn of the cards. You get dealt the cards and there’s nothing you can do to influence what they will be. But, if you`ll play mathematically correctly and adopt certain strategies when it comes to deciding what cards to hold and what cards to swap your Win Chance immediately goes to the moon!
Why Jacks?
There are many variations of video poker, but we chosen exactly “Jacks or Better”, as it is probably the most common game you’ll find on the market!
Video poker is simple and similar to regular poker in that you are aiming for a hand that will give you the most return.
In “Jacks or Better” you will be given five cards. With those five cards you’ll want to achieve a winning poker hand:
Royal Flush — A, K, Q, J, 10 of the same suit
Straight Flush — five cards of sequential rank, all of the same suit
Four of a kind — four cards of one rank and one card of another rank
Full house — three cards of one rank and two cards of another rank
Flush — five cards all of the same suit
Straight — five cards of sequential rank
Three of a kind — three cards of one rank and two cards of two other ranks
Two pair — two cards of one rank, two cards of another rank and one card of a third rank
Jacks or Better — two cards of Jacks or higher rank and three cards of three other ranks
To do this, you’ll have the opportunity to keep certain cards in your hand and exchange others to gain new cards that may help you gain a winning poker hand.
You win by having a traditional poker hand and the amount you win is determined by the bet you placed and combination multiplier!
What is new?
The earliest models of Video Poker appeared at the same time as the first personal computers were produced, in the mid-1970s, but that’s not a reason to left this uncomfortable and old design!
