The Brave Browser will introduce "Sponsored Images" soon

The Brave browser has gained a very high popularity in recent times, this due to the various advantages it offers unlike its biggest competitors Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. This browser bets on a much cleaner user experience, integrating an ad-blocker and thus avoiding having to see so much undesirable and often fraudulent advertising while surfing the web, saving us loading times and also offering a much more comfortable aesthetics to the sight.

Thanks to this, Brave has proved to be even faster than the well-known ones, which combined with a nice design and multiple customization options make it an extremely attractive browser for the average user... And also for those users who value their privacy, Brave is very focused on respecting the privacy of its users and not making the same "mistakes" that other companies make in this regard, which once again makes the browser gain the affection of those more conservative users with the issue of personal information.

After all this, what more could you ask from a browser?, it is simple, it is fast, it is useful, it is comfortable, it does not sell your information to third parties... The browser dreamed for many, even for those crypto enthusiasts and for those who are not afraid to take a step forward into the future, the main reason why Brave has become so popular is thanks to its support for crypto currencies, the browser not only allows you to access your wallets in a fast way, also, using the BAT you can give tips to those content and web pages creators that you like the most.

Several months ago Brave started to implement the option of being able to obtain crypto currencies by activating the option of watching ads in the browser in a non-intrusive way, this idea is still being implemented gradually even today in some countries where these ads are not shown in a very stable way. In spite of this, Brave has already announced a new way to generate income using the browser.

"Sponsored Images", this idea was born thanks to a feedback that the company had about if they got some kind of income by showing the wonderful images that are automatically placed as the wallpaper of the "new tab page". This gave rise to the idea of implementing advertising images from other companies, once again, in a non-intrusive and quite elegant way.

Here are the details:

  • Like the existing images shown on the new tab page, these are full screen, immersive images. Each brand and each image is approved individually by Brave; and the format is limited to the large image and a small logo overlaid at the lower left.
  • Sponsored images are private. The ad acts more like a billboard than a typical digital ad — the sponsorship is the same for everyone in a given country.
  • Sponsored images appear by default in the image rotation, and are shown in every fourth new tab created. You can turn off sponsored images (or all background images) directly on the new tab page. - Official Brave Post

Of course this is an option that will be enabled by default but like the ads can be disabled, this would benefit both the company and the user since it should be noted that the user who chooses to see these images will get 70% of the revenue. Becoming another excellent reason to enable the Brave Rewards system.

The company has made it clear that these images will not under any circumstances violate the privacy of users as these would be "First Party Ads", therefore these would be presented by the site you're visiting, unlike the "Third Party Ads" which are typically the equivalent of a door to the underworld as they can track and transmit malware, which the browser of course blocks. In other words, these ads will be a sample of what the ads should look like in the first place.

With this Brave keeps trying to expand the BAT ecosystem, offering more benefits and options to its users under the phrase "Rewarding you for your attention", the company keeps looking for new ways to attract new users by giving them something that the competition doesn't do, a chance to get into the crypto currencies world in a simple way and offering them a passive way to earn cryptos that they can later use, all this while offering the best service in terms of a "regular" browser.
