New Coins on Lykke Exchange: Crowdsourcing Initiative

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago (edited)

Good news! Now everybody can initiate the process of adding a new coin to Lykke!

One of our priorities now is to add new assets to the Lykke Exchange. Technically, the process of adding a new asset is not always the same. It is quite simple to add an ERC20 token to the Lykke Exchange: we only need to activate the corresponding asset on the Ethereum blockchain, which is already integrated with the Lykke platform. If the token we want to add runs on its own blockchain, we have to integrate the new blockchain, develop the API and take into consideration other technical aspects.

Our team has developed an abstract integration layer to connect any blockchain to the Lykke Exchange. This allows to outsource the process of blockchain integration and to have a dedicated API for each blockchain.

As of January 2018, we are working on adding the following coins to the Lykke Exchange:

Ethereum classic, Litecoin. These coins are ready for integration, they are currently in testing.

Dash, Zcash, Ripple, and Bitshares are in development.

Lisk, IOTA, Stratis, Monero, Byteball, Stellar, NEO, RaiBlocks, Qtum, and Waves - for these blockchains corresponding contests on Lykke Streams are running.

ERC20 is already integrated, but we are waiting for legal approval to list tokens.

Lykke is a crowd-based movement: we outsource a lot. We encourage talented programmers to contribute to the development of our platform and take part in Lykke Streams contests. Everyone can participate and win a cash prize.

Now here are 13 contests to add new assets to Lykke. The good news is that the users can also create contests!

If you want to add a new asset to our exchange, take the initiative and draft a contest! We will help you to do all the rest: fund the prize, gather the board of experts and specify technical requirements on the Lykke side.

You can create a contest in few simple steps:

  1. Pass the KYC procedure for Lykke Wallet.
  2. Log in to Lykke Streams web-page.
  3. Create a new project: click “+” or go to streams.lykke.com/Project/Create.
  4. Give the project a name, URL and a deadline.
  5. Fill Project details and Project description fields.
  6. Specify the prize you think is fair for the project.
  7. Save the project as a draft. Now it is submitted for an approval by the Lykke team. Done!

You can find a detailed instruction in the Streams blog.

After we review and approve the contest, it gets officially published on the Lykke Streams platform.

Lykke is a mobile app wallet + exchange for IOS and Android. I am a strong supporter of Lykke and their project.

Enjoy!
