Rapper 50 Cent has recently discovered his $400,000 bitcoin payment (reportedly 700 coins) he accepted in 2014 for his album release of Animal Ambition has greatly increased in value. The rapper admitted that he completely forgot about the payment for several years and recently remembered and calculated the amount to be worth around $7.7m USD - over 19x the original amount paid.
In 2017 50 Cent was discharged from bankruptcy after paying off $22m USD of debt.

By law, Ukranian officials are required to reveal electronic currency earnings and holdings, originally in an effort to reduce corruption and closely monitored and studied by Opendatabot. The results of a recent study concluded that the combined bitcoin share of 57 officials came to a massive total of 21,128 BTC, or $232,408,000 at $11,000/BTC. The study did not account for altcoins held and mainly tallied bitcoin and bitcoin cash.
The largest holder of bitcoin was Dmytro Ivanovych Holubov who personally declared 4,376 BTC.

Brisbane Airport Corporation in southeast Queensland has announced that it will be partnering with crypto company Travelbybit to introduce cryptocurrency payments, accepting Bitcoin, Dash, Ethereum and more. The system is expected to help travel by allowing flyers to not have to think about exchange rates or bank fees when exchanging currencies but simply allows fast, low fee transactions at restaurants and cafes around the airport as well as working with supported travel and accommodation services.
