QuarkChain ICO Review - Why you shouldnt miss out!

QuarkChain ICO Review

The Issue With Blockchain Technology

Blockchain technology has already been disruptive enough in financial markets. Everyone's heard of Bitcoin by now - it is the leading currency out there. But even Bitcoin isn't without its flaws. The biggest flaw in my opinion at the moment is the issue of scalability. Due to the underlying technological implementation, it is currently limited to about 3 transactions per second. This would be fast if not for the fact that millions if not billions of people would be using it. This has left some transactions taking hours and even days to occur.

Many have attempted to solve this issue but have often made compromises in doing so. They've compromised in terms of security, the decentralisation or they've just accepted the limitations in scalability. The QuarkChain project attempts to address many of the issues attached to scalability and speed by coming at it from a completely different angle.

What's different about QuarkChain?

The team behind the QuarkChain project have developed a solution that seeks to deliver a scalable blockchain solution whilst maintaining the decentralised, secure nature that we love. In fact, they aim to deliver a product that can reach 1,000,000+ transactions per second. I know, it sounds crazy right? So crazy it creates a sense of instant disbelief? Let me explain why I went disbelief to pure amazement.

The Whitepaper

One of the first thing I look at when examining project are their written communications. People who don't put enough effort in here are usually always a waste of time. There is no place where this is more obvious than within the Whitepaper.

I was pleasantly surprised having seen a version controlled, well presented, structured document. This was encouraging. They caught my attention. But more interesting than that, their idea seemed well thought through. Not merely because of what they were suggesting they would be able to do through "Cross-Shards" - they did much more than that. They explained the issues underlying blockchain scalability and the flaws of the attempted solutions clearer than anyone else. The person most likely to deliver on their product is the one that is most aware of the issue.

These were the first encouraging signs that I saw that sparked my interest in the project.

The Team

The next impressive thing was the development team. I mean, I care for advisors, but people on the ground are the ones who make or break a product. Their team is full of academics, PhD holders, Professors at Virginia Tech, etc. It was a very impressive look. Seeing that team of academics (who had probably worked together previously) definitely gave me confidence that they had thoroughly thought through their solution.

It's worth mentioning that their Operational team and Advisors also looked good too - clearly possessing a wealth of knowledge.

Roadmap

This was also significant in my thinking through the potential of this product. They are already hitting 2000+ tps (transactions per second) through single threading having performed in comparison to Bitcoin's 3 tps. This is merely the Proof of concept stage. They are yet to incorporate multiple threading by the end of the quarter, with a target of over 10,000 tps. This is very impressive because they are already looking to deliver huge milestones, before / soon after the token sale occurs. There are many products out there that aren't set to deliver anything anywhere near as impressive over a much longer period of time.

That said, they'll have their testnet by the close of the quarter and their mainet by year-end. The milestones are essentially short term, objective, well-defined and easily quantifiable. This is a very reassuring aspect of the project.

Expert Ratings

It's always useful to cross-reference any project against some expert opinions because its both easy and informative. That said, I've done just that:

ICO Drops: VeryHigh

  • Ian Balina: 87 / 100
  • TheGobOne: 92%
  • CryptoBreifing: 82%
  • Sergio: 99%
  • Lendex: 86 / 100
  • DiddyCarter: A-
  • Tom H. Chase: Gem

Against various standards, by a range of influencers who focus on different metrics, this ICO constantly scores highly. It is without a doubt, one of the best ICOs of the quarter and possibly the year.

Conclusion

As per usual, this is not financial advice, and you should consult a financial advisor before investing. Yet, my personal opinion is that this may well be one of the best performing projects over the next 1-2 years. Do your own research and I'm sure you'll be just as impressed as I am!
