I recently came across a very interesting cryptocurrency called CoinPoker with the ticker symbol CHP. It is a cryptocurrency based on an online poker plattform. The coin is an ERC 20 token which means that it is based on the Ethereum blockchain.
The advantages over classic poker sites
The reason why there is a need for a poker site with its own coin is that with classic poker sites you have to use traditional payment methods which are slow and inconvenient. With a cryptocurrency you can easily deposit and withdraw funds in a fast and convenient way. You can deposit on the site in two different ways: You can buy CHP tokens on an exchange and then transfer the money to the integrated wallet in your poker account. But the easier way is to transfer Ethereum to your poker account which will be transferred to CHP automatically which is one of the great features of this plattform.
Another advantage this site has is that you can directly transfer money to another player. What is also good about this site is that you don't have to give out any personal data to the site because you can stay completely anonymous. An exciting feature the development team of CoinPoker is working on is decetralized RNG which will give the players more transparency and make sure that there is no cheating and no collusion on the site.
The site in practice
The software runs very smooth and seems very polished with a very clean looking interface. You can play no limit Hold'em and pot limit Omaha both in cash games and in tournaments. A nice gimmick is that there are daily freeroll tournaments in which you can win money without risking any. Since the site is not as popular as the big sites there are not as many regular players which means that the players are in general not as good as on the big sites. While you can find plenty of games in the small stakes you can't find a lot of games in higher stakes. A cool feature this site offers is that you can play on the go on your mobile phone.
Conclusion
CoinPoker is an interesting site if you are already an online poker player beause of the easy money transfer and the freeroll tournaments which offer a chance of winning money without having the risk of losing any. If you are new to online poker these tournaments can also be a nice way of getting started and the generally lower level of play on this site can also be good for beginners. I would not recommend investing in the coin if you are not actively using the currency because in general ou should only invest in things you understand.
